Partnership between Dish TV and Yatra.com to launch ‘Travel Active’

In a statement, the company’s official said that this service will help viewers to search and book holiday packages, hotels, international and domestic airline tickets at lower prices.
Future Capital Acquires 100% Stake In Black Diamond

Black Diamond Finance is a non banking finance conglomerate (NBFC) registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
According to sources, with effect from Jan. 02, 2009, Black Diamond Finance has become a wholly owned arm of Future Capital.
Incorporated in 2005, Future Capital Holdings is a non-banking financial conglomerate.
Maytas Infra Bags Rs 169.5 Crore Project
Submitted by Mandeep Singh on Thu, 12/11/2008 - 05:04Maytas Infra Limited, a leading Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure development conglomerate, announced that it has secured Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme project worth Rs 169.5 crore from Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board aiming at supplying drinking water to Hyderabad city.
According to sources, Maytas will be accomplishing the project in joint venture with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Kirloskar Brothers Limited.
CRISIL Sells 90% Stake In Gas Strategies Group

According to sources, the company would sell the stake to the management team of its UK arm.
The sources further disclosed that the remaining 10% stake will be hold by CRISIL.
Gas Strategies Group offers consulting, training and information services for the worldwide gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) business.
Kalpataru Power- Zangas consortium bags 240 crore GAIL pipeline contract
Submitted by Manish Sood on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 06:19A consortium of power transmission tower manufacturer Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) and German gas infrastructure conglomerate Zangas secured a gas pipeline contract worth Rs 240 crore from GAIL.
According to the sources, KPTL had submitted their bid in association with JSC-Zangas for GAIL's prestigious Vijaipur-Dadri piper project in June, 2008.
The sources further revealed that KPTL has already finalized over 1000 Kms of cross country pipelines in India in the last four fiscals of commencing infrastructure business in Oil & Gas sector.
Disney raises stake to 50% in UTV Software

According to the sources, the company has become the majority shareholder of UTV Software Communications by acquiring more than 50 percent stake in it.
The sources further revealed that Walt Disney recently purchased about 20 percent of UTV shares from the open market and raised its ownership in the company to more than 50 percent.
J Kumar Infraprojects bags Rs 559 crore order

(MMRDA) and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
Under the said order, the leading civil engineering and infrastructure development conglomerate (J Kumar Infraprojects ) will construct 16 skywalks in the metropolitan city.
According to the sources, the proposed contract is a part of the overall project of having 50 skywalks mainly to help discharge of people from railway stations.
Wockhardt`s US arm gets USFDA nod for `Augmentin`
Submitted by Navjot Singh on Fri, 12/05/2008 - 07:04Wockhardt, a leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology major, announced that its Chicago-based arm Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals has got sanction from US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for selling an oral suspension of a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanate Potassium.
According to the sources, the said drug is indicated for the treatment of several common infections, especially in children. The product is marketed in the US by Glaxo SmithKline under the brand name Augmentin 250.
NMDC to cut iron ore prices by 40%
Submitted by Mandeep Singh on Fri, 12/05/2008 - 07:02National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) informed that it has decided to cut prices of iron ore by 40 percent due to the sharp decline in demand from steel manufacturers.
In October, NMDC enhanced prices of various types of iron ore by around 40%.
While discussing the business proposals of the company (NMDC), the board members revealed that they will also cut down iron ore prices for the domestic consumer.
India's Bharat Heavy gets contract from Oman
Submitted by Mandeep Singh on Fri, 12/05/2008 - 07:01India-based Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd announced that it has won an order worth Rs 2000 crore from Oman.
Under the contract, the state-owned power equipment firm will supply 126 megawatt gas turbine generator packages for various power projects envisaged by Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO).
According to the sources, the proposed pact will initially be valid for six fiscals with an option to extend it further by three years, during which Petroleum Development can acquire additional units from BHEL.
