Cigarette plants across India remain close due to doubt over pictorial warnings on the packets of cigs.
In May 2010, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare advised that all tobacco product packages in India should carry graphic health cautions showing a cancer- stricken mouth, etc, from December 1, 2010.
Birla Corp PAT Declines 23.86% In Q1

Birla Corporation has announced that it has registered PAT (profit after tax) of Rs 118.28 crore during the first quarter of the existing financial year.
The M. P. Birla Group flagship company said that the PAT showed a 23.86% fall, as the company recorded a profit of Rs 155.34 crore in the same period of the last year.
