A consortium of power transmission tower manufacturer Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) and German gas infrastructure conglomerate Zangas secured a gas pipeline contract worth Rs 240 crore from GAIL.

According to the sources, KPTL had submitted their bid in association with JSC-Zangas for GAIL's prestigious Vijaipur-Dadri piper project in June, 2008.

The sources further revealed that KPTL has already finalized over 1000 Kms of cross country pipelines in India in the last four fiscals of commencing infrastructure business in Oil & Gas sector.
