TCS Q4 Net Rises 31.08%After the shock from Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday declared a better set of numbers in proportion to analysts' prospects.

Although the TCS's quarterly income surpassed the Rs 10,000 crore mark for the initial time, profit margins for the three month period ended March 2011 dropped in a marginal manner on a year-on-year basis on currency variations and advanced taxes.

TCS Q3 Net Surges 30%India's biggest software company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) registered 29.93% increase in consolidated net profit, which stood at Rs 2,369.83 crore for the three month period ended December 2010, driven by sturdy demand for outsourcing services and stable charges.

TCS has also declared 200% dividend.

TCS had net profit of Rs 1,823.90 crore during the same period of 2009.

TCS Bags $50 Mln Order From AGLTata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that it has pocketed a 50 million Australian dollar deal from top Australian renewable energy firm AGL Energy Ltd.

The scope of the order is to offer up infrastructure management services for the next five (5) years.

TCS, Wipro, IBM, Tech Mah are the four IT majors, which have been short-listed by Bharti Airtel for its IT contract.

According to the sources, Bharti Airtel will have a large outsourcing deal on the cards and the deal is essentially of its inter-city fiber network for its management.

It is also said that the deal will have a time period of almost five years and it may cost around $500 million to $600 million.

As per the reports, ten IT majors had bid for Bharti IT deal, and out of them only four had been ranked by the Bharti.
