Wipro Net Surges 10% In Q3

Wipro Ltd declared net profit of Rs 13.2 billion for the three month period (October-December) ended December 2010, posting 10% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
In a regulatory filing, the IT giant stated that its revenue during October-December quarter (Q3) remained at Rs 78.3 billion, a growth of 12 percent YoY.

IT bellwether Wipro Technologies has declared that it has inked a 5-year deal with international steel making major ArcelorMittal with the aim to merge and transfer its messaging systems to the Microsoft Exchange 2010 messaging platform.
Four IT companies shortlisted for Bharti IT contract

According to the sources, Bharti Airtel will have a large outsourcing deal on the cards and the deal is essentially of its inter-city fiber network for its management.
It is also said that the deal will have a time period of almost five years and it may cost around $500 million to $600 million.
As per the reports, ten IT majors had bid for Bharti IT deal, and out of them only four had been ranked by the Bharti.
Wipro Q1 net up 12% YoY
Submitted by Gurpreet Singh on Fri, 07/24/2009 - 07:20Wipro Ltd, India’s third largest software services exporter, reported a growth of 12% in its net profits to Rs 1,016 crore beating the analyst’s expectations for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, as compared to the same period of the last year. The topline of the company, which also deals with soaps, furniture and heavy engineering equipment, climbed up by 5% to Rs 6,274 crore.
Revenue from the flagship IT services stood at Rs 4,825 crore — a 10 per cent growth YoY and a sequential dip of 2 per cent.
Wipro Ties Up With Sun To Expand GCC Reach

Under the tie up, Wipro will resell and combine the whole suite of Sun systems, storage, software, and services to serve Sun`s clientele in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.

Under the arrangement, Wipro would resell and integrate the entire suite of Sun systems, storage, software, and services to serve Sun's customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
The Sun-Wipro business relationship began almost two decades
ago in 1989, with Wipro in India selling 3/50 and 3/60 workstations.
