Rs 3,300 Cr Yearly Plan For HP Sanctioned

A Rs 3,300 crore yearly plan for financial 2011-12 has been sanctioned for the state of Himachal Pradesh.
This was announced during a conference between Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia in the national capitak.
HP Develops Land Banks For Attracting Additional Industrial Investment

With the aim to attract additional industrial investment in Himachal Pradesh, the state administration has set up a novel estate in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial area in Solan region.
As per official spokesman, the land bank with the state administration has over 8000 Bighas with it and has keyed out extra 2000 bighas of land for big industries in Dabhota.
Himachal Gives Nod To Six Industrial Plans

According to an official, Himachal Pradesh, on Monday, has given nod to six industrial plans of Rs 267.68 crore.
The reports said that the projects will offer up jobs to 1,353 individuals in the state.
Among the six industrial and three growth plans sanctioned by the cabinet were Blue Star Ltd, Aishwarya Life Sciences, Kuldip Oswal Cotspin Pvt Ltd and Sainath Texport Ltd.
India gets USD 800 million ADB loan to tap Himalayan hydropower
Submitted by Gurpreet Singh on Mon, 10/27/2008 - 07:08The Asian Development Bank has announced that it has sanctioned 800-million-dollar loan to facilitate the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to extend hydropower generation with a series of projects in the western Himalayas.
Through the eight-year loan package, Himachal Pradesh proposes to harness five major rivers to set up hydropower plants that will offer a combined capacity of 808 megawatts.
