India, China Symbol of Growth

India and China would be among top Asian countries which would be having large number of millionaires by 2015, says Swiss wealth manager Julius Baer.
According to Baer, China would remain on top and would boast of almost half of the millionaires present in all Asian countries, with total amount of 8.8 billion trillion. And, when India is to be considered then, it would be home to 403,000 millionaires by 2015.
Liverpool Football Club, All Set to Launch a Soccer Academy in India

Yes, the Liverpool Football Club, which is known as one of the world’s most famous football clubs and has a tremendous following in Asia, on Wednesday announced to launch its first official soccer academy in India.
Since the beginning of the Premier League in 1992, this club which involves a domestic and European force has won seven major trophies. These include the Champions League, two FA Cups, UEFA Cup and three League Cups.
India Soon To Operate a Nuclear Powered Submarine
Submitted by Gurpreet Singh on Sat, 07/02/2011 - 15:06According to reports, India will be operating a nuclear powered submarine, the Akula ll class K. 152 Nerpa, which will be ‘rechristened INS Chakra’ and given to the Indian Navy by the Russian Navy during the period of November and December.
Also, the Russian Navy Chief Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky said, "the Indian crew is now absolutely prepared for operating the submarine, which will be on a 10-year lease”.
Tata Nano Sales Hit 10,000/Month Mark In April

Auto major Tata Motors declared that its small car Nano has surpassed the coveted 10,000 unit sales mark during the last month with the sales of the ''lakhtakia'' hitting 10,012 units, up by 184% as against April 2010.
The company has sold 1,10,794 Nano units by April end.
Spice Changes Its Focus To Mobile Internet

Spice Mobility Ltd has declared that it will make an investment of Rs 1,000 crore during the existing fiscal in a bid to relocate itself as a mobile Internet company.
At the present time, the company is principally centered on the mobile phone section.
Under the novel plan, Spice will combine all its different sections comprising mobile devices, retail outlets and value-added services into one.
Air Traffic Surges 20.9% In Jan-Mar

The total number of riders carried by domestic carriers grew by 20.9 per cent during the first three month of the existing year to 14.3 million, with Jet Airways registering the highest market share amongst Indian airlines.
Jet Airways and its budget section, Jetlite, posted a joint market share of 25.4% during the last month, with Kingfisher Airlines moving into second position with 19.9% share.
Indian Currency Declines 27 P On High Dollar Demand, Capital Outflows

The Indian currency declined 27 paise to 44.72 as compared to the US dollar during the morning session on continued dollar demand from banking institutions and importers on account of higher dollar in abroad amid sustained capital outflows from overseas funds.

Indian Currency Gains 18 Paise Vs U.S. Currency

The Indian unit gained 18 paise to Rs 44.24 as against the U. S. currency during early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, broadening its gains for the fifth consecutive trading session on account of capital inflows and a tautening trend in the Indian bourses.
Inflation Surges To 10.05%

For the week ended March 12, the country's annual rate of food inflation increased to 10.05% after declining for three consecutive weeks.
Food inflation, which was dropping since early March, was recorded at 9.42% during the last week.
