Aksh Optifibre to launch IPTV services across Rajasthan

Aksh Optifibre, the Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) associate for MTNL and BSNL, has announced that it is proposing to set up its presence in Rajasthan.

According to the sources, the conglomerate is building Rs 300 million network operating centre in Jaipur to provide its services to cities across the state.

The company revealed that they have around 3,000 bookings for IPTV in Rajasthan and with three more cities on board.

The company is hoping 70,000 IPTV clientele across the country by the end of current fiscal.

According to the reports, the conglomerate charges Rs 150 per subscriber for a bunch of 130 channels. Apart from all the major free-to-air and pay channels, the company also telecasts local channels.

The reports further revealed that to tap the market, the company would indulge third-party dealers for distribution in the coming weeks.

Stock of Aksh Optifibre closed at Rs 13, down 1.42 percent on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded at NSE was 32,752.
