Vishal Retail plans to roll out 60 new stores

Supermarket chain Vishal Retail has announced that it plans to roll out 60 new stores in the coming few months with the aim to beat economic downturn.
According to the sources, the company will introduce fast food joints along with specialty restaurants, and will also sell liquor at a few stores.
The sources further revealed that, the company also proposes to enhance its network of 176 outlets to 200 by next fiscal, which will be on the franchise model.
While commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ambeek Khemka, president of Vishal Retail stated, “So far, our outlets were on the company-owned company-operated model but now it would be a 100% franchise-based one. This is being done to cut costs. We have plans to resize 25 shops.”
According to the reports, Vishal has also launched six bakeries in some of its outlets.
The reports further revealed that Vishal proposes to open 60 such outlets in the coming few months.
