Zicom gets order worth 85 mn rupees

Mumbai-based Zicom Electronic Security Systems Ltd has announced that it has clinched a pact with Gurgaon police to implement wireless city surveillance project worth Rs 85 million.
According to the sources, the proposed order was earlier worth Rs 75 million.
The sources further revealed that the project entails installation of 148 close-circuit television cameras connected to Wi-Max network will be finalized in 120 days.
The major activity of Zicom Electronic Security Systems Limited is to install, market and maintain security systems and to offer monitoring services.
The conglomerate has been restructured into two groups: Consumer Service Group to provide the security needs of home and retail segments including small and medium size shops and offices and Building Solutions Group which caters security needs of large projects.
According to the reports, Zicom Electronic Security Systems' net profit surged 69.5 percent to Rs 2.78 crore on a 14.6 percent rise in sales to Rs 46.30 crore in Q2 September 2008 over Q2 September 2007.
