KPMG Survey: Gujarat Is Favorite Business Destination

KPMGGujarat emerged as entrepreneur’s most favorite destination accordion to a survey conducted by the global consultancy firm KPMG. The survey titled "Entrepreneurial India" is based on response of 1000 businessmen across 15 states of the country.

Notably, Gujarat recently bagged the prestigious small car project by Tatas. About 23 per cent entrepreneurs preferred Gujarat due to good infrastructure and business environment. Andhra Pradesh gains top slot on the basis of confidence level with 4.14 points as compared to the national average of 3.3 points. Goa, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu (TN) and Punjab recorded higher index than national average while Chandigarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh (MP), Uttar Pradesh (UP), Haryana, Kerala, West Bengal (WB) and Delhi ranked below national confidence ratio average.

Interestingly, Karnataka is ranked least preferred business destination among all states. The state scored just 3.13 points in confidence slot. The national head of markets, KPMG, Pradip Kanakia said, "Leadership in Karnataka is not as inspiring as in states like Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. The government lacks proactivety and is not focused on all-round development."
