Astra Microwave Products has received an order for Rs 138 million from Antrix Corporation for supply, installation and commissioning of remote unmanned automatic weather stations in 500 locations across India.

The weather stations will telecast live data via satellite to the Indian Space Research Organization's central servers on a 24X7 basis.

The company`s principal actions are to design and manufacture high value added RF and microwave super components and sub systems.

The products are vastly used in VSAT operations, radars, navigational equipment, public mobile trunk radio, WLL, cellular GSM/DCS or PCS networks.

Company's share rose Rs 0.45, or 0.87%, to trade at Rs 52. The total volume of shares traded was 23,351 at the BSE (10.22 a.m., Wednesday).
