TCS, Wipro, IBM, Tech Mah are the four IT majors, which have been short-listed by Bharti Airtel for its IT contract.
According to the sources, Bharti Airtel will have a large outsourcing deal on the cards and the deal is essentially of its inter-city fiber network for its management.
It is also said that the deal will have a time period of almost five years and it may cost around $500 million to $600 million.
As per the reports, ten IT majors had bid for Bharti IT deal, and out of them only four had been ranked by the Bharti.
Now, it seems that IBM have more chances to grab the IT contract as it is already working on an Airtel deal, which costs around USD 150 million and spans across six years.
Time span of earlier contract given to IBM is likely to be extended over a period of couple of years, sources said.
