Samsung is planning to roll out high performance 256 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) with the aim to boost its share in PC gaming.

As per Samsung, the main feature of the new drive is its high speed, which, in turn, increases the gaming experience.

A gaming device always require high processing power, modern graphics, monitor with high resolutions, high-quality memory and a strong storage drive.

The new 256GB SSD is developed by using 2 bit multi level cell technology powered by ARM processor.

Briefing to media, Mr. Jim Elliott, Vice-president of memory marketing, Samsung Semiconductor said, “In addition to processing power, advanced graphic cards and high-resolution monitors, gamers want a fast storage drive for reduced loading times and faster game performance.”

“Our 256GB SSD provides much better overall performance than conventional HDDs, as well as longer battery life for the notebook gamer. Clearly, all PC gamers will benefit from the blistering speeds and dazzling photorealism enabled by the Samsung 256GB SSD,” Elliott added.

The pricing details of the drive are still unknown.
