Aircel to offer BlackBerry services

Leading telecom operator, Aircel has announced its collaboration with Canada’s Research In Motion (RIM). The aim of collaboration is to provide BlackBerry services to the Indian customers.

As per a statement issued by Aircel, the company will offer BlackBerry services to its users’ in some major states.

For offering the service, Aircel will leverage its domestic presence and Redington’s retail distribution channel.

While addressing the mediapersons, Chief Operating officer of Aircel, Mr. Gurdeep Singh said, “We have gained significant momentum in expanding our operations in India and the launch of the BlackBerry solution is of strategic importance for the company's growth.”

The service can be enjoyed by the people of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and in rest of Tamil Nadu apart from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
