BHEL Receives Contract Worth Rs 26.65 BlnAccording to recent reports, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has pocketed an order worth at Rs 26.65 billion.

The scope of new order comprises establishment of a 1,200 MW thermal power facility (2x600 MW) in Chhattisgarh.

The fresh contract has been placed by Dainik Bhaskar Power (DBPL) for the supply and installation of the main facility package for their forthcoming coal-based thermal facility project, situated at Baradarha in Janjgir regiont of Chhattisgarh.

With this, DBPL has reposed trust in BHEL's confirmed technological brilliance.

The contract is indication to the belief reposed by Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in BHEL's potentialities.

It also strengthens BHEL's leadership position in the implementation of thermal power projects comprising supply of high-tech equipment, suitable to Indian coal as well as Indian conditions.

During the last month, BHEL inked a technology transfer deal for manufacture of big size Forgings for Turbines and Generators having 1,000 MW rating with Sheffield Forgemasters International, UK.

At 11.10 a. m., the Shares of BHEL surged Rs 10.55 to trade at Rs 2,449.25 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The total volume of shares traded stood at 20,655.
