Sensex Declines 60 Pts In MorningThe 30-share index Sensex, today, belled the day after declining over 60 points as shareholders sold scrips owing to feeble trend witnessed across Asian bourses.

The Senses stood at 17,916.85, down 60.38 points (0.33%), while the broad-based Nifty was down by 25.40 points (0.47%) to 5,373.95.

According to brokers, shareholders sold their stocks with the aim to book profits after making recent gains.

They added that feeble trend in the Asian bourses accompanying yesterday's weak movement on the US market also dulled the trading response.

Scrips of Infosys Technologies traded 0.49% down at Rs 2,751.90, whereas TCS lost 0.59% to Rs 835.15.

The losers list also comprised RIL, which dropped 0.33% to Rs 1,054.75, ONGC down by 0.54% to Rs 1,262.40, ICICI Bank fell 0.78% to Rs 895.75, SBI dropped 0.57% to Rs 2,423.25, Sterlite Ind declined 0.32% to Rs 172.75, Tata Steel slipped 0.53% to Rs 527.15 and Bharti Airtel declined by 0.32% to Rs 294.05.

The Hong Kong's Hang Seng index remained weak by 0.14%, whereas the Japanese dropped 0.70% during the morning trade today.

The US Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.07% down in yesterday's trade.
