Seagate has made announcement about the launching of its newest Momentus XT drive in the Indian market.

The 2.5-inch laptop PC hard drive, Momentus XT, features Adaptive Memory technology, which discovers and optimizes the drive's recital to each and every by moving frequently used data into the flash memory for quicker access.

The company stated that the new drive boots up to 100% quicker as compared to conventional 5400RPM drive.

Mr. Rajesh Khurana, Seagate Country Manager for India and SAARC stated, "We see the Momentus XT drive as a game changer, a product heralding a new generation of hard drives that combine SSD and HDD capabilities so that laptop users don't have to make trade-offs on speed, cost or capacity."

The Momentus XT drive coalesces a 7200RPM spin speed, 4GB of solid state memory in order to provide first-class hard drive performance.

Adaptive Memory technology utilizes quick algorithms projected to discover and anticipate the users' most exacting requirements.

Available in 250GB, 320GB and 500GB capacity, the Momentus XT drive is priced at Rs. 6,800, Rs. 7,400 and Rs. 8,100 respectively.
