Maruti Suzuki To Deal With Oil Leakage Troubles In Alto

Maruti Suzuki To Deal With Oil Leakage Troubles In AltoMaruti Suzuki is ready to mend the oil leakage troubles in the engines of its 6,000 Alto cars that were made in April 2010.

The oil leakage problem leads to starting troubles.

Around 800 sales network centres and approximately 2,740 service workshops will be hired to settle the problems.

Maruti took the initiative, as lots of cars, which were fabricated between April to June 2010 were reported to have had the starting problems.

But, Maruti was not aware of thus far how many cars were affected by the oil leakage problems.

Alto is the best selling car of the company and it sold more than 64,000 cars in three month period ended June 2010.

Moreover, Maruti also exports Alto to Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Experts stated that troubles in Alto burst out after Maruti tweaked the F-series engine, which was uprated to meet up Bharat Stage IV emission rules that kicked during April this year.

An auto expert said, "The engine comes with some design changes incorporated in its core structure, which could have led to this problem. It can affect the pressure in the engine and also impact car's performance."
