Bata India Q4 Net Up 40.7% at Rs 25.90 Crore

Bata India recorded an increase of 40.7% in its net profit, which stood at Rs 25.90 crore during April-June quarter.
The company had registered a net profit of Rs 18.34 crore during the same period of last financial year.
The net sales of the shoemaker increased by 13.4% to Rs 350.1 crore during the second quarter of the existing fiscal as against Rs 308.6 crore in the same period of last year.
During the second quarter, the company's PBT (profit before tax) grew by 46% to Rs 39.7 crore as compared to Rs 27.2 crore in the year ago period.
While declaring the quarterly results, Mr. Marcelo Villagran, MD of Bata India stated, "We have delivered our best ever results this quarter with the highest growth in our bottomline. This increased profitability is the result of improved sales and margins from our shoe line."
For the six month year period ended June 30, Bata India's profit before tax increased by 40% at Rs 60.7 crore as compared to Rs 43.4 crore during the year ago period.
The company's net sales in the first six months soared 12.5% to Rs 609.2 crore as against Rs 541.7 crore during the year ago period.
