Bajaj Motorcycle July Sales Grow 66%

Bajaj Auto recorded an increase of 66%in its motorcycle sales to 2,79,781 units during the last month (July 2010).
India's second biggest two-wheeler maker had sold 1,68,163 units during July 2009.
In July 2010, Bajaj Auto exports increased by 56%to 1,06,794 units as against 68,585 units in July last year (2009).
As production constraints continued to put a limit on two and three wheelers sales, Bajaj Auto said that the export sales proceeded to be ahead of plan.
Moreover, the company recorded a jump of 60% in three-wheeler sales during July 2010.
The company's three-wheeler sales stood at 38,634 units as compared to 24,104 units during the corresponding period last year.
In July, total vehicle sales of Bajaj Auto grew by 65% at 3,18,415 units as against 1,92,835 units in July 2009.
Robust demand for newly-launched bikes and premium recoveries in high capacity motorcycles more than doubled
Bajaj Auto's standalone net profit during the three month period ended June 30 stood at Rs 590 crore.
In the like period of previous year, the bike maker had registered a net profit of Rs 293.49 crore.
The company's directors also declared one bonus share for every held.
