Orient Green Power To Boost Total Capacity By 2013

Orient Green Power Company Ltd is all set to lift up its installed capacity to 1,000 MW within and outside the country by the next three years (2013).
The Rs 276 crore-equity Orient Green would spend around Rs 40 billion to attain this objective.
At present, the company has an installed capacity of 193 MW.
Company's vice chairman T. Shivaraman said, "We currently operate around 193 MW renewable power projects (wind 152.6 MW, bio-mass 40.5 MW) and will be increasing the capacity to 1,000 MW with a mix of wind, bio-mass and small hydro projects by 2013."
"The total outlay for the expansion is around Rs. 40 billion which will be met with a mix of equity and debt," he said.
To lift up Rs 900 crore, Mr. Shivaraman stated that Orient Green Power has filed a draft prospectus with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Orient Green Power Ltd, a division of Singapore-based Orient Green Power Pte Ltd in which Shriram EPC, Singapore holds 37.7% stake, Bessemer India Capital OGPL Ltd possesses 37.7% and AEP Green Power Ltd hold 24.6% stake.
While talking to media, managing director P. Krishnakumar stated, "Bessemer India and AEP Green are not exiting during the company's initial public offer (IPO). As per our agreement they are subject to a lock-in period of one year from the date of IPO."
For the nine months ended December 2009, Orient Green recorded revenue of Rs 246.2 million and a loss of Rs 71.2 million.
