Escorts Ltd is optimistic on its sales in the state of Uttar Pradesh on the back of good monsoons.

Top tractor maker has recorded an increase of 22% in tractor deliveries in the state for the three month period ended June 30, 2010 as against the same period 0f 2009.

Mr. Rohtash Mal, Executive Director and CEO, Escorts Agri Machinery Group stated that the state (UP) makes approximately 26% of the company's overall volumes.

''In the last quarter, we have seen a growth of 22 per cent which is higher than the industry average and this has been made possible through customer support programmes, increasing points of sale and revamping dealer distribution network,'' he added.

Mr. Mal added that the company was considering launching customer focused plans that will assist the company gain larger sales volume.

Recently, Escorts Ltd has rolled out a special plan for clients in the state where the company's novel customers can take part in lucky draws and win trips to Singapore through a lucky draw.
