Aurobindo Pharma Inks Licensing Deal With Astra Zeneca

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has inked licensing and supply deals with pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca in order to supply finished dose and sterile products to growing market zones.
According to the company statement, ''The agreement will support AstraZeneca's investment in branded generics sold in emerging markets, and these products fall under a broad range of therapeutic segments such as anti-infective, cardiovascular system (CVS) and central nervous system (CNS).''
Aurobindo Pharma Chairman PV Ramprasad Reddy stated that the strategic contracts with London-based firm would strengthen Aurobindo's development plans and back up its revenue.
But, the officials do not revealed the financial details.
During the last month, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has got nod from USFDA for ampicillin jab in single dosage and bulk pack formats.
Ampicillin jab has twelve-monthly sales worth $45 million in the U. S.
At 02:23 pm, the stock of the company gained 2.4% to trade at Rs 1070 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 1109.85 and a low of Rs 680 on BSE.
