According to Forbes magazine, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) chief Mukesh Ambani will be the world's wealthiest man by the year 2014.
Mr. Ambani will have a net worth of $62 billion, overtaking Mexican mogul Carlos Slim.
"Indian commodity king Mukesh Ambani tops Forbes' rich list at USD 62 billion. Former No. 1 Carlos Slim hit hard by Mexican political, financial chaos", are the two headlines from the US business magazine's peep into the next decade.
"One of the predictions is that Reliance Industries' chief Ambani, who currently has a net worth of 29 billion dollars, pips the world's richest man Mexican businessman Carlos Slim to top Forbes' rich list in 2014," it said.
At present, the 53-year-old Mukesh is the fourth richest person on the Forbes' list of the world's billionaires.
Forbes also anticipated that the US job prospect will finally perk up by the year 2018 as joblessness falls below 7%.
