Berger Paints All Set To Open Plant In Andhra Pradesh

As per recent reports, Berger Paints will establish a water-based paint facility at Hindupur in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The reports added that the company will spend around Rs 300 crore on this new plant.
Mr. Subir Bose, managing director, Berger Paints India Ltd met Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and expressed thanks for the allocation of 48 acres of land to the company.
The reports said that the annual capacity of the novel facility will be 150,000 KL/MT that will be increased to over 300,000 KL/MT on a yearly basis by the next five years.
The overall investment during this period is projected at over Rs 300 crore.
"The direct employment potential will be 400 employees by the time the project attains full capacity. "We are the first major company to invest on a mega project in the Rayalaseema area," Mr. Bose added.
Moreover, the company has decided to build a paint facility by its British Paints unit in Gollapuram Industrial Area near Hindupur with an installed capacitance of 24,000 KL annually of both water based and solvent based paints.
The company said that it will spend around Rs 25 crores on the said plant that will create direct employment potential of 160 employees.
It has also decided to establish a production unit of plastic and metal containers by their company's group, Seaward Packaging Pvt. Ltd. with a total investment of Rs 22 crore, generating employment prospective of 104 employees.
