Cement Stocks Gain On Price Rise Prospects

According to reports, the prices of cement are likely to go up by about Rs 20 per 50 kilogram bag by the newt month (October 2010) in the state of Gujarat as the end of monsoon rain is quickening construction activity.
Following the news, the shares Binani Cement surged 3.11% to trade at Rs 83 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today at 11:59 a. m.
At 12:01 p. m., the scrips of India Cements gained Rs 3.6 at Rs 119.85 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
At the same time, the shares of Shree Cement stood at Rs 2,082, up 1.65%, at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
At 11:47 a. m., the shares of Saurashtra Cement were trading at Rs 22.25 after gaining 2.06% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Scrips of Prism Cement stood at Rs 61.20, up 1.66% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 12:03 p. m.
At 12:05 p. m., the shares of UltraTech Cement surged 2.33% to trade at Rs 1,044.80 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The shares of Madras Cements remained up by 1.80% to trade at Rs 118.95 at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at 12:06 p. m.
