Elecon Engg Pockets Rs 360 Mln Order From Mumbai

Elecon Engineering Company Ltd has pocketed an order from Essar Projects (India), Mumbai.
The fresh order is valued at Rs 360 million.
The scope of the order include design, engineering, fabrication, examining, scrutiny and supply, of equipment with all the auxiliaries/accessories for complete installation and commissioning of material handling tools for Paradeep Coal Berth Terminal Project.
Moreover, the company will also have to deliver 2 bucket wheel reclaimers, 1 stacker reclaimer, 1 slewing stacker, supervision of erection and commissioning and erection and commissioning of hydraulic items.
During the last month, Elecon Engineering Company declared that it has purchased the Benzler-Radicon business groups from David Brown Gear Systems Group, a Britain-based group.
Purchased at a cost of 21.41 million pounds, the 'Benzlers' and 'Radicon' brands are amongst the most accepted brands in the power transmission biz all over the world.
Two group firms, Elecon Engineering and Powerbuild Ltd, have joined hands in order to make the acquirement.
Powerbuild Ltd has bought the Asian business enterprises, whereas the former has got hold of the businesses based in Europe, Sweden and North America.
At 2:18 p. m., the shares of the company gained 1.3% to trade at Rs 95.85. The total volume of shares traded stood at 196,774 at the BSE (11.13 a. m., Thursday).
The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 103.70 and a low of Rs 70.60 on BSE.
Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 8.04 and 11.85 respectively.
