Kalpataru Power Receives Orders Worth Rs 6 Bln; Stock Surges 6.4%

Kalpataru PowerKalpataru Power Transmission Ltd declared that it has bagged three (3) orders valued at Rs 6 billion in India and Congo.

It has pocketed order from Democratic Republic of Congo for turnkey implementation of 400KV transmission line.

Two orders from PGCIL have been bagged for creation of 765 KV transmission line in two states including Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.

The company has registered a steady growth of 12.05% in its standalone net profit for the three month period ended September 2010.

During July-September period, the company's net profit stood at Rs 413.70 million as against Rs 369.20 million during the corresponding quarter of 2009.

The company's net sales for the period under review grew by 14.57% to Rs 6,303.90 million.

The company's total income increased 15.04% to Rs 6,442.10 million as against the same period of last year.

It recorded EPS of Rs 2.69 per share during the period under review.

Today, the stock of the company opened at Rs 164.80 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

At 02:48 p. m., the company's stock surged 6.4% to trade at Rs 169.10 on the BSE.

The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 250 and a low of Rs 149.65 on BSE.

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 11.72 and 14.43 respectively.
