Gayatri Projects Secures Rs 11.30 Bln Deal, Stock Surges 2.2%Gayatri Projects declared that it has pocketed a new road agreement in Nagaland, in joint venture ( JV) with Maytas Infra, from the Nagaland administartion for broadening roads in the state of Nagaland.

The order is valued at Rs 11.30 billion.

The JV has bagged a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Nagaland administration to this extent.

For the three month period ended September 2010, net profit of Gayatri Projects grew by 6.73% to Rs 11.74 crore.

The company had a net profit of Rs 11.00 crore in the same period of last year.

The sales of the company surged 12.05% to Rs 280.48 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs 250.32 crore in the corresponding period of last year.

Today, the stock of the company opened at Rs 322on the BSE.

At 02:18 p. m., the stock of the company stood at Rs 323.05, up 2.2% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 502.60 and a low of Rs 270 on BSE.

The total volume of the shares traded stood at 76,447.
