Tata Motors Worldwide Sales Surge 14% During Feb

Tata Motors stated that its worldwide sales grew by 14% to 1,02,411 units during the last month on healthy demand for both commercial and passenger vehicles as against the same period of 2009.
The company's sales of luxury brands from Jaguar Land Rover remained at 21,653 units during the last month, up 26% as against the similar period of 2010.
Whilst sales of luxury sedans of Jaguar brand dropped 2% during Feb to 3,213 units, Land Rover sales increased 33% to 18,440.
The company stated that overall passenger vehicles sales remained at 55,664 units during February 2011, an increase of 18% as against the same period last year.
Worldwide sales of all commercial vehicles including Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera range remained at 46,747 units during the last month, an increase of 10%, as compared to the same year-ago month.
In April-February period, overall (global) vehicle sales surged 26% to 9,70,129 units as against the same period under review a year ago.
