Telecom Is The India’s 2nd Most Corruption-Prone Segment Telecommunications, under public interest in recent months because of the 2G scam, has been selected as the second most corruption-prone section in the country after realty and building.

This has been declared by a survey carried out by KPMG.

The review is based on reactions from 100 Indian as well as MNCs running in India in varied regions, comprising transportation and logistics, aviation, oil and gas, consumer goods, financial services, auto and chemicals.

According to the final outcomes, 32% of the responders named realty and building segment as most prone to fraud.

In next place came telecommunications that was cited by 17% responders as the most corruption prone division in the country.

The telecom segment has been in limelight owing to the 2G scam in which many big industry players have been embroiled.
