Bajaj Auto Registers 12% Increase In March Sales

Bajaj Auto, the second biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, has registered an increase of 12% in its sales during the last month (March 2011).
The auto giant managed to sell 3,07,738 units of its vehicles during March as against 2,74,277 units sold during the same period of 2010.
In exports, Bajaj Auto recorded an increase of 7% to 69,884 units as against 65,134 units dispatched to the abroad market during the corresponding period of 2010.
Bajaj Auto sold 2,74,389 units of its bikes in March 2011 as compared to 2,44,870 units sold during March 2010.
The company's Pulsar and Discover brands accounted for more than 71% of the overall sale figures during March.
Under the three wheeler biz, the company recorded a 14% increase in its sales during March 2011.
It sold around 33,349 units of its three wheelers during March 2011 as against 29,345 units sold during the same period of 2010.
Presently, the monthly three-wheeler making capacitance of the company stood at 45,000 units per month.
