Toyota Plans To Recall More Than 300,000 SUVs in USThe Toyota Motor Corp. has declared that it will recall around 308,000 sport utility vehicles in the United States with the aim to fix troubles linked to unwanted airbag deployment.

As per reports, the recall will have effect on approximately 214,000 vehicles of the year 2007 and 2008 RAV4 models and 94,000 vehicles of the 2008 Toyota Highlander and Highlander HV SUVs.

The troubles stem from the definite models' two sensors in the airbag system.

If both the sensors fall short "nearly simultaneously", it may result in an unintentional use of the airbag, the company stated.

Vehicles outfitted with this arrangement have only been marketed in the North American market.

The Japanese auto manufacturer got reports of small harms caused by the airbag fault, actuating the company to carry out a voluntary recall.

Toyota will forward warning letters to proprietors of the involved vehicles by the coming month, and dealers will change the sensor system with a novel one free of charge when parts become available.
