Samsung Introduces Nexus S PhoneSamsung Electronics has rolled out Nexus S smartphone in the country.

Developed in affiliation with Google, the newly launched phone is powered by Gingerbread (Android 2.3 platform).

While addressing media people, Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile and IT, stated that this was the initial phone from Samsung boasting a four-inch super clear curved LCD screen and near field communication
(NFC) technology that permit users to interpret data from nearby tags, which were engrafted with NFC chips.

The traits comprised Wi-Fi hotspot, exact multitasking and access to more than 1.50 lakh application programs and widgets on Android market.

Nexus S smartphone comes packed with a 16 GB internal memory and a potent battery that offers up a talk time of around 6.7 hours on 3G (14 hours on 2G) and a standby time of about 17.8 days on 3G (29.7 days on 2G).

The new phone is available at a price of Rs 29,590.

The leading mobile phone provider has also rolled out five new Android-powered Galaxy smart phones comprising Galaxy Pro, Ace, Fit, Pop and Galaxy Pop CDMA.

These cellular phone are available at a price of Rs 13,750, Rs 17,040, Rs 11,870, Rs 12,290 and Rs 10.500 respectively.
