Simbhaoli Sugars starts work at new plant in Brijnathpur

Simbhaoli Sugars (SSL), India’s leading producer and exporter of high quality sugar, has made announcement that the company has commenced operations at its new extra neutral alcohol and fuel ethanol plant at Brijnathpur in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the sources, molasses-based ethanol manufacturing plant has been build adjacent to SSL`s Brijnathpur sugar plant.
According to the company officials, with begin of Brijnathpur distillery 60 kilo liters per day (KLD) facility, SSL`s total ethanol/alcohol production capacity is reached to 210 kilo liters per day (KLD).
The proposed project entails an investment of Rs 400 million.
While lecturing on the new plant, Mr. G.S.C. Rao, SSL Executive Director stated, “Simbhaoli has become one of the largest producers of ethanol in the country today. We envisage higher revenues from ethanol business as the company is poised to benefit from the Government's ethanol blended petrol programme and also because of its proximity to key markets of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.”
According to the reports, the conglomerate is already providing about 12 million litres of ethanol to oil majors such as Indian Oil and BPCL in various States, including UP.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.15, or 0.76%, to trade at Rs 20.00. The total volume of shares traded was 5,601 at the BSE.
