Unusual Movement of Shares in Thailand Trading

It was reported that some of the companies had an unusual movements of shares in the Thailand trading.

The SET Index has decreased by 0.85 points or 0.1% to 1,133.53. The gauge has increased 8.8% this month. Asia Plus Securities Pcl (ASP), Thailand’s third-biggest stock brokerage by market value, has decreased by 2% to
2.98 baht. The company’s second-quarter profit decreases by 9.5% to 111.6 million baht ($3.75 million).

An insurance company, Siam Commercial Samaggi Insurance Pcl (SCSMG) has raised 2.1% to 49 baht and net income in the second quarter has reached 58% to 78.8 million baht whereas a financial company, LH Financial Group Pcl (LHBANK TB), has reached 1.20% to 1.68 baht.

On Thursday, the exchange has revealed that the market has reported $30.6 million in foreign inflows and increasing to $828 million in the previous nine sessions. The senior analyst at broker Far East Securities, Parin Kitchaotornpitak said: "The index could feel some pressure from overseas factors but losses will probably be small. The market can maintain positive momentum in the earnings season."

The brokers have suggested that the quarterly earnings announcements for listed firms would be continued until the middle of August and that should maintain some buying interest.
