Defense Minister Urges India to Help Asia

Seeing the fast growing potential of India, some sources recently revealed that Stephen Smith, Australia's Defense Minister has insisted the country to play a chief role in assuring Asia Pacific security issues.

He further added that the world has been alerted on China's rise and while doing so, India’s fast growing power still remained unacknowledged. While admiring the country, he again accounted that in the global economy, the country’s democratic certificates gave it a deliberate load and because of all these qualities, no one could ever under- appreciate its worthiness.

He added, "We see in India a country that combines a remarkable pace of domestic development with an active and constructive role on the regional and world stage". However, Indian government very well know their perspective’s but at the same time, they can’t afford to take any wrong step, which would spoil their healthy relations with China, because they again cannot deny the fact that they still qualify under the list of fast growing developing countries but in providing stability to this region, the country could definitely play an important role.

On the other hand, many analysts claimed that when the west countries recommended, India to act as a hedge against China's rapid military build-up, the country remanded as an unenthusiastic superpower.
