In a recent report Cisco has been sued for torture and tracking of the people in China. This lawsuit has been made by a human rights group. It was also added by the group that the technology of the firm was especially manipulated so as to enable these tortures.
It has been revealed that if the lawsuit was accepted by the court, it could have disastrous results for the firm. They shall have to be liable for all the personal losses borne by the sufferers. According to the case, it has been revealed that Cisco, one of the largest technology firms in the world, is guilty of violating human right laws.
It is aiding the government of China by jailing and keeping a strict check on the members for the banned Falun Gong. They are allegedly doing this by aiding them for the development of the `Golden Shield Project'.
The claim is of the view that John Chambers, CEO of the firm, has repeatedly been meeting Jiang Zemin, who happens to be the founder and mastermind behind Falun Gong, while the Golden Shield was under development. It's a matter of time to see what the court decides and who curt the ball lands in, in the end
