EU Derecognizes China’s Market Status

EU Derecognizes China’s Market StatusIt seems that the long running euro zone debt crisis has not left China also, as it has come to light that the EU has thumbs down China on its economic growth.

Derecognizing China's market has come as a shocker for the Commerce Ministry.

"As the crisis within the EU intensifies ... bilateral trade friction may be increased, which is detrimental to China-EU economic and trade relations", said a spokesperson from China's Commerce Ministry.

It has been reported that China has been facing wrath from countries across the world especially from the US to artificially devalue its currency in order to inflate its trade surplus. It has been known that Washington has been at loggerhead with China over the same for a long time.

Owing to surmounting pressure, the government did budge a little bit, but the US Trade Representative, Ron Kirk, took the firm step by indicating that a "major trade enforcement" would be taken against China.

The decision of the EU has certainly disappointed China as the significant progress being made in economy has not been appreciated even after 30 years.

China would certainly do its best to support the cash-strapped countries in the EU.
