China Warns US on Arms’ Deal with TaiwanUnited States' proposal of improving Taiwan's F-16 fighter jets could affect the improving relationship between China and US.

The move has been opposed by China because the Government of China considers, the self-governing island Taiwan as a part of its province. Any arm-deal commenced with any country overseas is considered as an obstacle on the way of China while attainment of the right to control the island.

On the other hand, Taiwan authorities wanted to sell off the existing armada of F-16 A/Bs, which required undergoing an improvement. The Foreign Ministry of Taiwan appreciated the US government for considering their $5.85 billion improvement deal, the authorities revealed that the deal constituted of several growth systems.

As per the Ministry of Defense's spokesman Senior Colonel Geng Yansheng, "The Chinese military expresses its utmost indignation and strong condemnation of this action that gravely interferes in China's domestic affairs and damages China's sovereignty and national security interests".

The arms' deal with US constituted of selling superior air missiles, explosives made of laser, GPS and radars. Earlier, dealing activities between Taiwan and the US gave to many heated up clashes between China and US and, later damaged their relationships with Washington.
