Nissan Sunny Diesel Version to be Out Soon in IndiaJapanese automobile company launched its Nissan Sunny Petrol model in India between the price of 5.8 lakh and 7.8 lakh and is eager to introduce its diesel version, soon in the country.

Corporate Vice President of Nissan for Africa Middle East and India, Gilles Normand stated that as the Indian customers favour diesel versions, the company is keen to launch its diesel car to avail the Indian market.

"We have been talking to our engineers to see if we can pull forward the launch", Normand said.

He stated that the rising cost of the petrol has turned the middle-income groups towards diesel vehicles and so the company will be out with its diesel car by the end of this financial year.

According to the statistics, the ratio of the petrol and diesel cars has abruptly changed after the soaring prices of petrol. All the car companies have been inclined to introduce the diesel models, as the preference of the customers have changed with the hike in the crude oil prices and especially petrol reaching the highest making it more difficult for small income groups.

The Nissan Sunny diesel version will be powered with a 1.5 litre K9K engine and its price is expected to be around Rs. 7 laks to Rs. 8 laks
