The meeting was held in Pakistan, in which Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and the Ambassadors of China and Pakistan were also present. Soon after the meeting, Megan headed to meet Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. In the meeting, the duo exchanged words over territorial tension between the two countries.
Later, Megan visited a feast hosted by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari. It has been informed by the Megan that the aim of the meeting was to find out ways by which nationals and regional security could be maintained.
Both countries have previously been helping each other in development. For last many years, China has been providing Pakistan with direct foreign investment in sectors like telecommunications and infrastructure.
