China Launches First Space StationThe recent space station launch by China is being observed as the first move to beat US in the field of space. So far, the US has been the ruler in the field of space worldwide for more than 40 years.

The nation launched its first station in space on Thursday and with this launch, the nation gets added to the list of those nations who have their stations in space. It was in 1973, when NASA launched its first research laboratory, Skylab.

The space station of China, Tiangong-1 has safely placed itself in the orbit, but the station is programmed to survive in space for a year, a further stay is yet to be confirmed by the astronauts. Also, China has succeeded from the US in developing a space programme and owns a launch pad. The first man to land on moon Neil Armstrong criticized the working of the NASA, as the new launch by China was a serious threat to the rule of NASA.

As per Neil Armstrong, “For a country that did so much for so long to achieve a leadership position in space exploration and exploitation, this is viewed by many as lamentably embarrassing and unacceptable”. China aims to set up the space station era in a decade, with its new launch.
