With less medical and surgery fees, highly qualified and trained doctors, immediate access to the treatment has attracted patients from overseas.

Countries which are likely witness a gain in the medical tourism sector are India, Singapore and South Korea. The patients these days have become really particular about undergoing a treatment, with increasing life-expectancy and increasing contraction of diseases, the medical sector needs to make advancements.

According to the evaluation made by Medscape News website, Asia will be witnessing an increase in its income from the medical sector by $4.4 billion in the year 2012. The Americans could save 40 to 50% of their medical bill by accessing treatment from Asian countries rather than in their own respective nation.

Earlier, less than 8,000 patients from overseas approached South Korea for medical treatments.

But this year, 20,000 patients are being expected to arrive for medical care. Though Southeast of Asia has advanced medical facilities, they were not better than Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. Thailand and India are popular for their advanced orthopaedic treatments and heart surgery.

Also, Indian Government has claimed that they were cheap in matters of medical facilities in comparison to Southeast Asia.
