It has been informed that since many months the US has been delaying the decision saying that it is gauging as to how it can help.

The North Korean region has been hit hard by food crisis, as malnutrition and starvation has become part of daily life for people residing in the affected area. It has come to light that the US is delaying in providing as aid because it is suspicious over the Korea’s capability of providing aid. The US authorities are of the view that Korea is stockpiling food so that next time they could be saved from natural disasters.

However, it has been informed that in this month Valerie Amos, the U. N. emergency relief coordinator will be visiting Korea with the hope of raising awareness among the nations regarding the urgent care needed by North Korea. During her visit, she will be holding a meeting with top officials of Korea to understand the steps being taken by them to fight starvation.
